For a limited time, the UOB PRVI Miles Credit Card is offering up to 5 mpd on overseas physical spend on shopping and dining. This promotion is valid between 8 November 2024 and 31 December 2024, just in time for the year-end peak travel season.
Promotion Details
To be eligible for the promotion, here are some key things you’ll need to take note of.
- Register for the promotion, more on this below.
- Charge at least S$1,500 in overseas spend during the promotion period.
- Bonus miles will only be awarded on physical spend in the shopping and dining categories. You cannot be making any of these purchases online.
- The maximum bonus award you can earn during the promotional period is UNI$6,500 (13,000 miles).
Unfortunately, the maximum bonus award cap is shared across your entire UOB account. This means that you’ll have the same maximum bonus award cap regardless of the number of UOB PRVI Miles Cards that you might have.
Bonus miles breakdown
Below is the breakdown of the total miles you’ll receive per S$1 spent depending on where the transaction is made.
| Qualifying Spend | Base miles per S$1 | Bonus miles per S$1 | Total miles earned |
| Regional foreign spend in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand | 3 | 2 | 5 |
| Other foreign spend | 2.4 | 2.6 | 5 |
Although the table seems inconsequential to learn, note that the bonus miles earned differ. As the total bonus miles is limited to 13,000 miles, you’ll have a lower spending limit if most of your spending is non-regional.
Register for Promotion
To be eligible for the promotion, you’ll have to register for the promotion by sending an SMS to 77862.
SMS: PMX
For example, if your NRIC is S1234567A. You’ll send PMX 567A to 77862.

To be eligible for this promotion, the transactions cannot be processed online. This means that you cannot pay your bill through the Instarem Amaze Card (of which there’s no point in doing so anyway) or apps like Shopback.
You have to make the payment physically through a credit card or a mobile wallet like Apple Pay.
These are the types of transactions that are eligible for the bonus miles. To check for the MCC of a merchant, we recommend using HeyMax for a quick search.

Final Thoughts
The UOB PRVI Miles Card is stepping up its game with recent improvements such as the increased miles earn rate for regional foreign spending and lounge access. With these promotions, the card will be more attractive for cardholders to use when they travel abroad during the year-end travel season.
Also, the fact that UOB miles pool across cards makes such promotions all the more valuable. We only need to use the UOB PRVI Miles Card when there are offers like this. On other occasions, we can make use of the UOB Lady’s Card or the UOB Preferred Platinum Card to earn more miles on our spending.
