On our recent ski trip to Japan in early 2025, we redeemed a pair of EVA Air business-class flight tickets from Tokyo to Singapore. This is one of the most popular redemptions as it only costs 25,000 EVA Air miles per ticket to fly between Singapore and Japan.
The biggest catch to this redemption is that you have to layover in Taiwan and it involves an overnight stay.
Our second leg of the flight from Taipei to Singapore departs early in the morning from Taoyuan International Airport. This airport is located 45 minutes away from Taipei’s downtown and we got to the airport early to avoid getting stuck in long queues.
While waiting for our flight, we got a chance to visit EVA Air’s The Infinity Lounge, which is the main business class lounge for Star Alliance flights in the terminal.
This is our full review of The Infinity Lounge in Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2.
General Information
The Infinity Lounge opens daily from 04:30 to 23:30.
How do I access The Infinity Lounge
Common Access Methods
---
Royal Laurel / Premium Laurel / Business Class passengers on EVA Air Flights
First / Business Class passengers on Star Alliance Flights
The Infinity Lounge is a business class lounge, primarily catering to business class passengers on EVA Air and Star Alliance flights. If you are a premium cabin passenger flying out of Terminal 2 at Taoyuan International Airport, you most likely have access to this lounge.
Location

All of EVA Air’s airport lounges are located at the 4th level concourse area, after security. Once you’ve cleared security, find an escalator to get up to the 4th level.

Seats
Our visit to The Infinity Lounge started early, at 6:10 am. We braced ourselves for the morning rush and indeed, the lounge was crowded. It was clear that seating was in high demand.

Upon entering, it was apparent that the lounge staff were managing the influx of guests, ushering people to their seats. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to find seats without much delay. It was a relief, considering the number of travellers waiting.

The lounge is divided into two main areas, accessible from either side of the central check-in area. The right side is The Infinity while the left is The Star. The Infinity caters to business class passengers while The Star caters to Star Alliance status members. If you’re looking for a review of The Star, it should be very similar to this.
Interestingly, both sides are mirror images of each other, offering identical seating and food options. This layout gives the lounge a long, narrow feel, and it’s not exactly spacious.

We were directed to the right side, where most of the passengers were. While this area was busy, we noticed that The Star’s side was significantly less crowded and quieter.

Food and Beverages
The Infinity Lounge offers a buffet-style dining experience, featuring standard Taiwanese breakfast options. One of the highlights is the porridge booth, where you can customize your bowl with various condiments. My personal favourite was the glutinous rice, which was really flavorful.

Despite the crowd, the food area was surprisingly orderly.

The drinks selection is noteworthy too, with a good variety of alcoholic beverages. I particularly appreciated the drink dispenser with options for both oat milk and fresh milk.
To end off your meal, there’s a Häagen-Dazs ice cream station where you can scoop your own ice cream.

Showers
Shower rooms are available in the lounge, but they were fully occupied during our visit. The wait time was over an hour, so unfortunately, we didn’t get to check them out in time.
Amenities
The lounge features a business room equipped with computers and printers. A business room is not that essential for many travellers these days as almost every professional has his own personal laptop.
Apart from that, there’s not much else offered by the lounge.

Wifi
For those needing to catch up on work or stream content, the lounge’s Wi-Fi is decent.
With a download speed of 5 Mbps and an upload speed of 60 Mbps, it was good enough for streaming 4K content. However if you’re rushing to download a Netflix series before your flight, you might need to buffer more time for it to complete.
Conclusion
Review: EVA Air The Infinity Lounge Taipei Taoyuan Terminal 2
Summary
Overall, The Infinity Lounge at Taipei Taoyuan Terminal 2 has its highs and lows. The decorations felt somewhat dated, giving the lounge a slightly older feel. It’s also clear that the lounge struggles with capacity during peak hours, as there simply weren’t enough seats for all passengers.
On the positive side, the service staff were attentive and handled requests with care. The breakfast offerings were satisfying, especially if you enjoy Taiwanese cuisine. The food may not be diverse in its offering, but it will suffice if you prefer something local. You can get a filling meal before your flight.
