The latest KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promotion has just been released!
With the upcoming KrisFlyer devaluation that’s coming on 1st November, this might be one of the last chances for you to redeem your KrisFlyer miles on reduced rates.
What is the Spontaneous Escapes?
Spontaneous Escapes is a promotion by Singapore Airlines offering award redemption rates of 30% off the standard Saver award tickets to selected destinations. The flights must be taken the following month, making it truly spontaneous!
This is usually the best opportunity to make your hard-earned KrisFlyer miles go even further. You can often find amazing deals, assuming you can take off on a moment’s notice (or a month).
You have to book your flight by 30 September 2025, and fly between 1 October 2025 and 31 October 2025.
Good Deals for October 2025
These are some of our top picks for the month. We’ll generally try to go for longer business-class flights as compared to short economy-class flights when redeeming our miles to fully maximise their value. There are also some sweet-spot routes on the Singapore Airlines network where we can enjoy outsized returns for our miles.
Continuing the downward trend from the previous month, the options available this month are relatively bad, especially for business class seats. Many of the usual mainstay routes to South Asia (India, Sri Lanka) and China are also absent in this edition of Spontaneous Escapes.
The availability of Premium Economy seats, which is usually plentiful, is also significantly reduced.
| Route | Class | Miles (one-way) |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore to Denpasar (Bali) | Business | 14,700 |
| Denpasar (Bali) to Singapore | Business | 14,700 |
| Singapore to Hong Kong | Business | 23,800 |
| Hong Kong to Singapore | Business | 23,800 |
| Darwin to Singapore | Business | 28,350 |
| Brisbane to Singapore | Business | 47,950 |
| Cairns to Singapore | Business | 47,950 |
| Singapore to San Francisco | Premium Economy | 52,500 |
| Singapore to New York (JFK) | Premium Economy | 56,350 |
You can check out the full list of routes at KrisFlyer’s official page.
How to Book a Spontaneous Escapes Rate?
- You can only book the rate through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or official website.
- Log in to your KrisFlyer account and check the Redeem flights box when searching for your flight.
- Select the desired flight route, depart date and class of service.

4. If a route is available on Spontaneous Escapes, it will show up as a special Promo From… rate.

5. Select that and go through the standard booking process.
What Card to Use For Fees?
When redeeming award flights, you’ll usually have to pay a small fee for taxes and tariffs. Although these typically do not go for more than S$100 for Singapore Airlines, it’ll still be good if we can optimise our spending here.
Below are some of our favourite credit cards to use to pay for taxes and fees when redeeming award flights on Singapore Airlines.
| Card | Miles Per Dollar (mpd) | Monthly Bonus Cap | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | HSBC Revolution | 4 | S$1,500 per calendar month (until February 2026) | Review | Apply |

- All fares booked through the Spontaneous Escapes Rate are strictly non-changeable and cancellable unless cancelled by Singapore Airlines themselves. You’ll have to forfeit your ticket should you not be able to fly on the booked flight.
- You can only book the rates through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or website.
- You’ll need to have the full amount of miles needed in your KrisFlyer account at the time of booking. You cannot book part of the tickets with cash and part of it with miles.
