KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes

KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes October 2026

KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes is back with 30% off selected Saver awards for October 2026.

Here are the Business Class, Premium Economy and Scoot deals worth a closer look.

The KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promotion for flying in October 2026 has just been released!

What is the Spontaneous Escapes?

Spontaneous Escapes is a promotion by Singapore Airlines offering award redemption rates of 30% off the standard Saver award tickets to selected destinations. The flights must be taken the following month, making it truly spontaneous!

This is usually a good opportunity to make your hard-earned KrisFlyer miles go even further. You can sometimes find amazing deals, assuming you can take off on a moment’s notice (or a month).

You have to book your flight by 30 September 2026, and fly between 1 October 2026 and 31 October 2026.

Good Deals for October 2026 – Singapore Airlines

We’ll generally try to go for longer business-class flights as compared to short economy-class flights when redeeming our miles to fully maximise their value.

This month’s Spontaneous Escapes promotion is almost the same as September 2026’s edition. For business class, we do have some routes to China and South Asia.

For premium economy, you do get quite a lot of selection to further locations such as Europe and the US. Singapore to Johannesburg is a pretty good choice since that can be quite an expensive route by cash.

Scoot Deals

Scoot flights have now become a regular feature of Spontaneous Escapes, and this month’s lineup is solid.

In general, I will still favour redeeming my miles for business class flights on Singapore Airlines over Scoot flights. However, everyone’s situation is different, and some might benefit greatly from this option of redeeming miles.

Unfortunately this month there’s a notable reduction in Scoot options. We no longer get routes to popular destinations in East Asia, specifically South Korea and Japan. There are still a couple of long haul destinations like Athens and Vienna.

Make sure to check the actual prices of the flights to make sure that you are getting a high value for your redemption.

What Card to Use For Fees?

When redeeming award flights, you’ll usually have to pay a small fee for taxes and tariffs. Although these typically do not go for more than S$100 for Singapore Airlines, it’ll still be good if we can optimise our spending here.

Below are some of our favourite credit cards to use to pay for taxes and fees when redeeming award flights on Singapore Airlines.

  2. You can only book the rates through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or website.
  3. You’ll need to have the full amount of miles needed in your KrisFlyer account at the time of booking. You cannot book part of the tickets with cash and part of it with miles.
