Spontaneous Escapes is a promotion by Singapore Airlines offering award redemption rates of 30% off the standard Saver award tickets to selected destinations. The flights must be taken the following month, making it truly spontaneous!

The final KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promotion for flying in 2025 has just been released!

You can redeem your flights at a discount against the previous redemption rates if you do so during this promotion. Therefore, this will be the best time for you to lock in any redemptions if you already have plans to travel next month.

What is the Spontaneous Escapes?

Spontaneous Escapes is a promotion by Singapore Airlines offering award redemption rates of 30% off the standard Saver award tickets to selected destinations. The flights must be taken the following month, making it truly spontaneous!

This is usually the best opportunity to make your hard-earned KrisFlyer miles go even further. You can often find amazing deals, assuming you can take off on a moment’s notice (or a month).

For this edition of the Spontaneous Escapes, as with most year-end Spontaneous Escapes promotions, there are typically fewer premium cabin seats available.

You have to book your flight by 30 November 2025, and fly between 1 December 2025 and 31 December 2025.

Good Deals for December 2025

We’ll generally try to go for longer business-class flights as compared to short economy-class flights when redeeming our miles to fully maximise their value.

If you’re looking for business class seats, there are practically none of interest that are worth immediately snatching up. There are still some interesting routes available for premium economy, but we don’t generally redeem our miles for them as they are not as “value for miles” for us.

This is also the first Spontaneous Escapes since the Krisflyer devaluation on 1 November 2025, marking a slight increase in miles needed for each redemption. We should start seeing a pickup in routes and options in earlier months of the year.

What Card to Use For Fees?

When redeeming award flights, you’ll usually have to pay a small fee for taxes and tariffs. Although these typically do not go for more than S$100 for Singapore Airlines, it’ll still be good if we can optimise our spending here.

Below are some of our favourite credit cards to use to pay for taxes and fees when redeeming award flights on Singapore Airlines.
