The KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promotion for flying in June 2026 has just been released!
As of the last edition of Spontaneous Escapes, Scoot flights are now part of the promotion! Travellers now have more options to redeem their KrisFlyer miles. However, as we have concluded previously, it is not all good news. This also brings about a lower number of business class seats available for redemption.
Looking at the routes on offer, we can only wonder if Spontaneous Escapes is going to be a thing of the past very soon.
What is the Spontaneous Escapes?
Spontaneous Escapes is a promotion by Singapore Airlines offering award redemption rates of 30% off the standard Saver award tickets to selected destinations. The flights must be taken the following month, making it truly spontaneous!
This is usually a good opportunity to make your hard-earned KrisFlyer miles go even further. You can sometimes find amazing deals, assuming you can take off on a moment’s notice (or a month).
You have to book your flight by 31 May 2026, and fly between 1 June 2026 and 30 June 2026.
Good Deals for June 2026 – Singapore Airlines
We’ll generally try to go for longer business-class flights as compared to short economy-class flights when redeeming our miles to fully maximise their value.
This has got to be the shortest list of business class flights on Spontaneous Escapes we’ve ever seen. There are only a handful of routes to Southeast Asia and South Asia countries.
Long-haul flights have all but disappeared. Even the list for Premium Economy flights has dwindled down to just 3 locations in China!
| Route | Class | Miles (one-way) |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore to Denpasar (Bali) | Business | 15,400 |
| Denpasar (Bali) to Singapore | Business | 15,400 |
| Singapore to Hong Kong | Premium Economy | 25,200 |
| Singapore to Beijing | Premium Economy | 25,200 |
| Singapore to Shanghai | Premium Economy | 25,200 |
You can check out the full list of routes at KrisFlyer’s official page.
Scoot Deals
If you’re thinking of redeeming your KrisFlyer miles for trips to Japan, then Scoot might be a pretty decent option. At 10,625 miles for a 1 way ticket, you might be looking at close to a redemption value of 2c per mile, which is a pretty good value.
| Route | Miles (one-way) |
|---|---|
| Singapore to Denpasar (Bali) | 3,825 |
| Singapore to Chiang Mai | 8,925 |
| Singapore to Amritsar | 6,800 |

What Card to Use For Fees?
When redeeming award flights, you’ll usually have to pay a small fee for taxes and tariffs. Although these typically do not go for more than S$100 for Singapore Airlines, it’ll still be good if we can optimise our spending here.
Below are some of our favourite credit cards to use to pay for taxes and fees when redeeming award flights on Singapore Airlines.

- You can only book the rates through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or website.
- You’ll need to have the full amount of miles needed in your KrisFlyer account at the time of booking. You cannot book part of the tickets with cash and part of it with miles.
