Singapore Airline’s KrisFlyer just launched its Global Redemption Sale promotion. This promotion offers a flat 25% discount on KrisFlyer Saver redemptions on all Singapore Airlines’ Economy flight routes and selected Premium Economy and Business Class routes.
Unlike the regular Spontaneous Escapes promotion that we see every month, there are fewer restrictions on this promotion. Specifically, the travel dates are much further in the future. However, you will not be able to cancel or modify your flight after booking.
Key Dates of Promotion
Book from 9th September 2024 until 22nd September 2024.
Travel between 15th January to 29th May 2025.
Economy
All economy flights on Singapore Airlines are eligible for this promotion. There are some blackout dates for each route, so be sure to check Singapore Airlines’s promotion page for the specific route you’re interested in.

How to Book a Global Redemption Sale Rate?
- You can only book the rate through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or official website.
- Log in to your KrisFlyer account and check the Redeem flights box when searching for your flight.
- Select the desired flight route, depart date and class of service.
4. If a route is available in the promotion, it will show up as a special Promo From… rate.
5. Select that and go through the standard booking process.
What Card to Use For Fees?
When redeeming award flights, you’ll usually have to pay a small fee for taxes and tariffs. Although these typically do not go for more than S$100 for Singapore Airlines, it’ll still be good if we can optimise our spending here.

- All fares booked through the Promotion Rate are strictly non-changeable and cancellable unless cancelled by Singapore Airlines themselves. You’ll have to forfeit your ticket should you not be able to fly on the booked flight.
- You can only book the rates through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or website.
- You’ll need to have the full amount of miles needed in your KrisFlyer account at the time of booking. You cannot book part of the tickets with cash and part of it with miles.
Final Thoughts
The Global Redemption Sale Promotion offers a flat 25% discount on redemptions on all Economy flights and selected Premium Economy and Business Class flights. For premium cabins, it’s mostly limited to South East Asia, East Asia and South Asia routes.
Although the discount is slightly lower than the usual 30% offered by Spontaneous Escapes, the much longer travel period of this promotion gives more flexibility in planning your next vacation. In addition, if you’re planning to make Economy redemptions, this can be a great time to do so given that the promotion is valid on all routes operated by Singapore Airlines.
