The KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promotion for flying in March 2026 has just been released!
You can redeem your flights at a discount against the previous redemption rates if you do so during this promotion. Therefore, this will be the best time for you to lock in any redemptions if you already have plans to travel next month.
What is the Spontaneous Escapes?
Spontaneous Escapes is a promotion by Singapore Airlines offering award redemption rates of 30% off the standard Saver award tickets to selected destinations. The flights must be taken the following month, making it truly spontaneous!
This is usually a good opportunity to make your hard-earned KrisFlyer miles go even further. You can sometimes find amazing deals, assuming you can take off on a moment’s notice (or a month).
You have to book your flight by 28 February 2026, and fly between 1 March 2026 and 31 March 2026.
Good Deals for March 2026
We’ll generally try to go for longer business-class flights as compared to short economy-class flights when redeeming our miles to fully maximise their value.
This edition of Spontaneous Escapes is actually very similar to the previous edition for February. There are very few business-class routes that make sense for redeeming your miles. What remains are the Australian routes, which are still pretty decent.
As seen in the recent editions, most of the value could be found in the premium economy routes. We get long-haul flights to Johannesburg, Dubai and Istanbul, which are pretty good value to redeem your miles for.
There are also plenty of routes to the US and Europe. Given the high demand for business class flights recently, it’s probably going to be a while before we start seeing more business class routes come back to the Spontaneous Escapes promotion.

What Card to Use For Fees?
When redeeming award flights, you’ll usually have to pay a small fee for taxes and tariffs. Although these typically do not go for more than S$100 for Singapore Airlines, it’ll still be good if we can optimise our spending here.
Below are some of our favourite credit cards to use to pay for taxes and fees when redeeming award flights on Singapore Airlines.

- You can only book the rates through Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App or website.
- You’ll need to have the full amount of miles needed in your KrisFlyer account at the time of booking. You cannot book part of the tickets with cash and part of it with miles.
